Las Vegas accounting firm raises $10,000 for Safe Nest in Hours.  What began as a team-building exercise for accounting firm Johnson Jacobson Wilcox ended with a donation of $10,000 to Safe Nest. On Friday, January 21, the partners of Johnson Jacobson Wilcox gave their 24 employees a challenge, presenting staff with a “wish list” of items for Safe Nest, which is a non-profit organization providing confidential assistance and counseling to those who have experienced domestic violence. Items on the list included everything from school supplies to a mini-van.  The partners told the team they had four hours to collect as many items as possible on the list. The only two rules: Employees could not use their own money and they couldn’t approach clients to solicit donations. When the four hours had passed, the team was thrilled to learn that they’d raised $10,000. They had also collected at least one of every item on the wish list. “This was a rewarding, self-gratifying experience for all of us at Johnson Jacobson Wilcox, and one that we will never forget,” said Midge Hall, firm administrator. “We are all so grateful to our friends and family who, in these hard times, took this opportunity to contribute to Safe Nest.”
